Come and learn how to embed the world of inventing and entrepreneurship into what you are already doing as a troop! We will spend some time going over what ways to convey the message to your girls, but then we will split into groups and create an invention in teams! This will be a hands-on example of what you can do to help girls earn badges under this category.
Kelly Shea
is a real-life inventor with a background in education. When she realized that she could bridge her two passions and spread the word of Invention Education to different organizations, she found her calling. Kelly was self-taught and funded to create her first product, DripLock, while a freshman at the University of Central Florida. She has a full-time job supporting startups, small, and mid-sized high-tech companies, works part-time for many non-profit organizations supporting inventors, and has two companies of her own.
